What would happen if we were brave?
That question has been guiding me through countless conversations, workshops, and moments at sea – and it is the heart of Flags of Hope, a participatory project that transforms personal visions into a moving, visible statement for the ocean.
At boot Düsseldorf, surrounded by sailors, educators, families, and ocean lovers, one thing became clear again and again: people care deeply about the future of our oceans – but often don’t know where to start.
Each flag is a personal message of care, courage, and responsibility — while also becoming part of a collective story that travels far beyond the workshop space.
Why Flags?
Flags have always told stories. They signal identity, belonging, and intention.
By raising these flags aboard sailing cargo ships and educational vessels, we connect art, education, and climate action in a deeply human way. The flags remind us — and everyone who sees them — that change is not abstract. It is made by people.

If you’d like to book a workshop, collaborate, or bring this project to your community, I’d love to hear from you.
Follow our journey on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and watch as these flags —and the voices behind them – set sail.

Flags of Hope – Your Flag Sets Sail

One of the most meaningful parts of our presence is the workshop “Flags of Hope – Deine Flagge für eine bessere Zukunft.”
Why This Matters
Sustainability on the ocean is not a distant vision. I see it practiced every day by people who choose courage over convenience and responsibility over comfort.
The blue roads of our planet can become routes of regeneration — if we are willing to be brave enough to change how we move, trade, and learn.

Together, we rock. 🌏💙
