Every time I stand on a quay and look out to sea, I am reminded why we do this work.
The ocean connects us all. And yet, we have treated it for too long as a resource instead of a relationship.
From 17–19 January 2026, I will be at boot Düsseldorf with Fair Winds Collective, together with the Enkhuizer Zeevaartschool, Deutsche Meeresstiftung (German Ocean Foundation) #LoveYourOcean initiative. You’ll find us in Hall 11, Stand H04 — but more importantly, you’ll find us in conversation, in workshops, and on stages, asking one simple question:
If every action matters — what would happen if we were brave?

A Network for Change on the Blue Roads
A different kind of maritime future is not only necessary — it is already possible. Our Fair Winds Collective partners proof this daily.
We bring together sailors, educators, ship owners, artists, and changemakers who are actively practicing emission-free sailing, shared learning, and global cooperation. At boot Düsseldorf, this network becomes visible. You can discover the projects/partners of Fair Winds Collective, hear their stories, and discover what happens when responsibility becomes a shared journey in Peggy’s presentations.
Together with Deutsche Meeresstiftung #LoveYourOcean, we are creating a space where sustainability is not a buzzword. It is something you can experience, question, and take part in.
Flags of Hope – Your Flag Sets Sail

One of the most meaningful parts of our presence is the workshop “Flags of Hope – Deine Flagge für eine bessere Zukunft.”
Together with Laura, I will invite visitors of all ages to sit down with us and create a flag on canvas. These flags carry messages — for climate protection, ocean health, and future generations. Some are quiet. Some are bold. All of them are honest.
What makes this project truly special is what happens next.
These flags will not stay behind at the fair. They will be hoisted on partner vessels across Europe and, later in 2026, sailing the oceans. Messages created by children, families, and visitors will travel with the wind, across oceans, as a shared symbol of responsibility and hope.
Workshop times:
- Friday, 17 January 2026: 12:00 – 14:00
- Saturday, 18 January 2026: 14:00 – 16:00
- Sunday, 19 January 2026: 14:00 – 16:00
For me, this is where art, education, and action truly meet.

Ready: Restoring Humanity’s Relationship with the Ocean – Sustainability on the Blue Roads
(English presentation)
These talks are not just about ships or technology. They are about mindset, trust, and what becomes possible when we choose cooperation over competition.
Meet Me at boot Düsseldorf
If you are curious, skeptical, inspired, or simply searching for new pathways on the ocean — come by. Join a workshop. Listen to a talk. Start a conversation.
I will be there throughout 17–19 January 2026, representing Fair Winds Collective, and I look forward to meeting you.
Why This Matters
Sustainability on the ocean is not a distant vision. I see it practiced every day by people who choose courage over convenience and responsibility over comfort.
The blue roads of our planet can become routes of regeneration — if we are willing to be brave enough to change how we move, trade, and learn.
I hope to see you at boot Düsseldorf 2026. 💙⛵

Together, we rock. 🌏💙
